Cricket Is Offering Free And Discounted Phones For New Lines

There’s been a lot of news from MVNOs in the US mobile carrier space but it has all been good news, at least on the consumer side of things. This time around, AT&T’s MVNO, Cricket Wireless, is the one taking center stage with a hot new deal for subscribers.

For a limited amount of time, Cricket Wireless is going to be offering customers a hot new back-to-school deal. When you open a new line on Cricket, you’ll be offered the chance to get a free or discounted device along with it. I’ll say, this is a pretty sweet deal, so let’s talk about it.

Cricket Wireless’ End Of Summer Deals Will Let You Pick From Seven Free And Discounted Phones

Summer is almost over and September is right around the corner. That means kids will be returning to school, much to the joy of many parents, but it also means that some of them will need to be equipped with a phone so they can stay connected.

Cricket Wireless is offering send-of-summer deals that will be available from August 28th to September 5th. You’ll be able to take advantage of these deals as long as you open a new line on a $60 monthly voice and data plan. Let’s get into the deals below.

Get A Samsung A14 5G, Cricket Magic 5G, Cricket Outlast, or Cricket Icon 5 For Free

If you’re paying $60 a month, you might not want to put in anything extra on a smartphone, especially when you might just need it for calls, texts, and basic browsing. Well, with this deal, you can get the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G or any of three Cricket phones bundled in for free.

If you’re looking for a recommendation here, I’m certainly going to say you should go for the Samsung A14 5G because it has the best spec sheet of the bunch and 5G. The Cricket Magic 5G isn’t a bad option if you don’t want Samsung for some reason but still want 5G. The Cricket Outlast is great if you want a bigger battery and the Icon 5, well, maybe if you want a smaller screen — it doesn’t have much going for it.

Get A Samsung A15 5G For $19.99

But hey, what if you want something a bit more capable? You’ll need to start paying from this point, but dropping just $20 to get a Samsung Galaxy A15 5G isn’t a bad deal. A major perk of going for this phone is that you get double the storage, an AMOLED screen, and faster charging.

Get A Samsung A54 5G For $49.99

Do you prefer a more capable phone, perhaps one that can actually handle some gaming and more demanding applications here and there? The Galaxy A54 5G is a great choice. You get an FHD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 8GB of RAM, a capable camera setup, and IP67 water resistance. The only thing is that you’ll need to put down $49.99.

Get A Samsung Galaxy S23 FE For $199.99

If you’re willing to put down $200, Cricket’s deal will be able to get you a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, which is pretty much a flagship-grade smartphone. That’s certainly much cheaper than you’d normally expect to get one of these. You’ll get a fantastic chip, a high-quality build with IP68 certification, a kick-ass camera setup, wireless charging, 8GB of RAM, and much more. Look, it’s just a great device.
