Best Darklord Builds
Among Legend of Mushroom‘s six (6) end-game evolutions, the Darklord’s kit is the most powerful due to its passive buffs prioritizing Skills. As you know, Skills boast tremendous single-use DPS in the game, dwarfing Basic Attacks, Counters, etc.
Still, this comes at the cost of their survivability and defensive capabilities, making them one of the game’s squishiest classes. Nevertheless, you can circumvent this weakness by introducing different Skills or Pals into your setup, such as Shroom Shield (Skill) or Hipster Tortoise (Pal).
As such, here are two (2) of the best Darklord builds we recommend you try:
Paralyzing Devastator Build
Similar to the Prophet, your Darklord’s Active Skill, Galaxy Dive, enhances Stun effects on foes, rendering them immobile for slightly longer. This can be used to your advantage if you’re equipping gear maximizing your Stun chances.
Couple this with your mighty Skills, you can overwhelm enemies more frequently, as is the Darklord’s main appeal (unlike the more tanky Martial Sage and Warbringer).
Stats
Stat | Description |
---|---|
Attack | Increases the amount of outgoing damage applied. |
Stun (Stun Chance) |
The chance to Stun the enemy. |
Skill Damage | Cumulative damage values inflicted by Skills. |
Skill Critical (Skill Critical Rate) |
Chance to enhance Skill Damage. |
Skill Critical Damage | The percentage of extra damage applied to Skill Damage. |
Playing into the Darklord’s strengths, these stats are the obvious ones you should be getting values into via your gear, Skills, and Pals.
This build aims to improve your Stun Chance while destroying both mobs and Bosses (even other players) using your preferred Skills. Although certain other stats matter (HP, Defense, etc.), specific ones such as Combo or Counter will only waste your Darklord’s potential.
Skills
For this Darklord build, these are the best Skills you should do your best at getting.
Star Array and Crimson Moonfall are extraordinary end-game Skills that are very difficult to acquire, but the others should already be in your get-up somewhere around Level 80 or above, like the underrated Meteor Fall.
Pals
For the best Pals, these are the most ideal, although there is still room for adjustments if you wish to diversify your build (e.g. equipping the Hero Bird for more Attack Speed to improve your overall Stun Chance).
That being said, the Alpine Fox and Fiery Tail are the most important because they directly complement your Darklord’s Stun and Skill Damage.
Relics
When it comes to your Relic choices, these are what you need.
All of them combine to make your Darklord as menacing as possible, Skill-wise.
Souls
Souls are another high-tier component of your Darklord build. They’re hard to acquire due to RNG but play a huge part during the end game.
These Souls focus on empowering your Darklord further, particularly Skill Damage and Skill Critical Damage.
Prayer Statue
Affix (Stat Bonus) |
---|
Global Attack |
Skill Damage |
Boss Damage |
Pal Damage |
Etc. |
The Prayer Statue is an underrated aspect of your Shroomie’s overall build, and its affixes significantly bolster certain randomized stats, especially if you have multiples (e.g. two Global Attack+ affixes)!
RNG also factors into the Prayer Statue’s affixes, so make sure to lock those that align with this Darklord build, like those showcased above.
Pure Destruction Build
For those looking to optimize the Darklord’s Skills even more, this build caters to that need.
Instead of increasing your Stun chances, you’re now making your Skills insanely more brutal, pulverizing foes as soon as you enter a battle!
Stats
Stat | Description |
---|---|
Attack | Increases the amount of outgoing damage applied. |
Skill Damage | Cumulative damage values inflicted by Skills. |
Skill Critical (Skill Critical Rate) |
Chance to enhance Skill Damage. |
Skill Critical Damage | The percentage of extra damage applied to Skill Damage. |
For this Darklord build, you can replace equipment loaded with the Stun attribute with others offering Skill Damage, Skill Critical Rate, or Skill Critical Damage, depending on which you deem more important.
This build also aims to devastate tough Bosses, especially those awaiting you in end-game Dungeons.
Skills
Because of this build’s renewed focus, Dazzled is replaced by Blitz Assault, switching the Stun effect with nearly double the damage and brief invulnerability.
The other Skills remain the same, making it easy for you to switch Darklord builds.
Pals
Although this Darklord build lessens your Stun priority, you still have the Active Skill, Galaxy Dive, on hand. Thus, the Alpine Fox is still one of the best Pal choices compared to the others.
Hence, your Pal selection stays the same, including the Alpine Fox. That is until new ones get introduced into the game, of course!
Relics
Coming to your Relics, you can swap the Flame Book and Stellar Statue with the Beasthide Book and Crystal Statue respectively.
These ensure your Skills deal significantly more potent damage to mobs and Bosses, but you can always change them back if you feel they’re slightly less dangerous for PvP.
Souls
In terms of Souls, there isn’t much difference to be made, if any. The reason is simple; both builds emphasize your DPS, primarily those affecting Skill values!
Prayer Statue
Affix (Stat Bonus) |
---|
Global Attack |
Skill Damage |
Boss Damage |
Pal Damage |
Etc. |
The Prayer Statue’s affixes aren’t set in stone, so you’ll frequently receive bonuses irrelevant to your current Darklord build.
So, as soon as you get any of the affixes listed (or others related to your Attack and Skills), lock them immediately!
Conclusion
Joy Nice Games continues to add new content in Legend of Mushroom, even today! So, you might find new ways to empower your Darklord builds in the future, such as the latest Runestones utilized for your in-game Artifact.
In general, though, these are our picks you might be interested in experimenting with right now, so give them a go!
