Dead Island 2: How to play with friends in co-op multiplayer


Deep Silver’s highly anticipated sequel to 2011’s Dead Island has finally arrived, and just like the original game did, Dead Island 2 fully supports cooperative multiplayer. The zombie-infested streets of Hell-A are packed with plenty of danger around every corner, but with fellow Slayers at your side, it’ll be much easier to cut through the undead hordes.

In this guide, we’ll go over everything there is to know about co-op multiplayer in Dead Island 2. This includes how to join co-op sessions or host them yourself, as well as an overview of the various reasons you might prefer to either play solo or dive in with friends.

Whether you’re joining other players or hosting a game yourself, it’s easy to set up co-op multiplayer in Dead Island 2. However, something that’s important to note is that co-op won’t be available until you finish the mission “Bel-Air Brawl,” which is an early game quest you’ll complete at the start of the campaign.
