Powered by the 2023’s flagship processor of choice, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Honor’s Magic 5 Pro serves up a mix of high-end cameras, performance, and battery life without tanking your wallet – unlike Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra. Already reasonably priced for a flagship phone at £949, you can pick the Magic 5 Pro for just £765 until tomorrow (September 19), saving a massive £185 on the premium handset.

Besides being powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the Magic 5 Pro also features 12GB of LPDDR5X memory and a very handy 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The 6.81-inch AMOLED display offers 2848 x 1312 resolution, a 1-120Hz refresh rate, as well as 2169Hz PWM Dimming in order to protect your eyes.

There’s a trio of 50MP cameras on the rear panel, the main sensor has OIS, as does the periscope telephoto lens which boasts 3.5x Optical Zoom and 100x Digital Zoom. The 50MP ultra-wide lens has an F/2.0 aperture. A pair of punch-hole cutouts are present on the display housing the 12MP selfie camera and a 3D depth sensor.

Keeping the lights on is a 5,100mAh battery which supports 66W SuperCharge wired charging as well as 50W Wireless SuperCharge.

Reduced to £765 from its RRP of £949, you can save a neat £185 on Honor’s Magic 5 Pro in Green or Black through September 19th.

He’s been an Android fan ever since owning an HTC Hero, with the Dell Streak being his first phablet. He currently carries an Honor Magic 5 Pro in his pockets, a Xiaomi Pad 5 in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world. When not immersed in the world of Android and gadgets, he’s an avid sports fan, and like all South Africans, he loves a good Braai (BBQ).
