2021 has been a little rocky for Stadia so far thanks to Google shuttering its in-house gaming studio before it managed to launch a single title due to the search giants’ switch to delivering third-party games to the service. With gaming titles such as PixelJunk Raiders and Madden NFL 21 recently launching on Stadia, there is still reason to be positive about Google’s cloud gaming platform, especially if you don’t want to blow a big wad of cash on the new Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5.
If you haven’t tried Stadia for yourself yet, there’s no better time to start than right now thanks to the Premiere Edition bundle with a controller and Chromecast Ultra being discounted to $60/£54 (RRP $99/£89) on the Google Store.
Besides the Stadia Gaming Controller and the Chromecast Ultra, the Premiere Edition bundle also includes a month’s subscription to Stadia Pro where you’ll be able to access premium titles that you’ll be able to play on your television, smartphone or tablet, Chromebook, or the Chrome browser on your PC.
While some LG TVs are said to be launching with Stadia built-in during 2021, if you aren’t planning on switching up your television just yet the bundled-in Chromecast Ultra will do the job just fine. It’s possible that this is a purge of Google’s inventory of the discontinued Chromecast Ultra, which means there may not be a whole lot of stock on hand. So don’t ponder about the purchase for too long.
