Don’t Buy New Cheap Christmas Lights Every Year. Our Favorites Will Last a Decade.


GE is one of the few companies that consistently use a purple bulb in their Christmas multicolor light strands along with the standard red, green, blue, and yellow. Whereas the purple bulb on older, incandescent GE string lights was a bit warmer, like a deep reddish-pink, the purple LEDs are brightly and vividly, well, purple, like grape soda. Though we personally think this color looks fine as part of the larger light display, we know that some people aren’t that keen on it.
