John Salinas said he’s been driving full-time at DoorDash for two years, “some days have no orders and some have been busy in a row,” he wrote in a recent Facebook post. According to Salinas, one customer, Michelle, noticed that she had delivered food to her home several times and sent a message directly through the app to thank her for her prompt service. But then she took it one step further. “The next time I went to her house for delivery, I had this blue envelope with a card in it,” he told sister station KOAT. “Not all deliverers are as great as you, thank you! John, I hope you continue to receive our orders … you don’t know how big help this is right now. – Michelle “And family” read the card, which included a tip of cash in addition to what she tipped into the app. “I was honestly surprised by the reaction. Of all the deliveries I made, she was the most random and kind act I’ve ever received,” Salinas said.
