The Dreame Roboticmower A1 was announced and displayed at IFA 2023. The robot lawn mower uses a 3D LiDAR navigation system to map a methodical path around your garden without bumping into obstacles. As with more recent models, the OmniSense Ultra sensor system means you do not need a physical boundary wire.
Dreame claims its LiDAR system has a stable signal and is less prone to loss than other navigation methods. The technology has a 70 m (~230 ft) range with a 360°x59° viewing angle. The robot can detect eleven types of obstructions in your garden, moving around them with ease. The company suggests its history of developing robot vacuums has helped it design a particularly efficient robotic lawn mower. The device can handle inclines up to 45% and has a running noise output of 59 dB.
The A1 can mow up to 1,000 m² (~10,764 ft²) of lawn each day, making it suitable for gardens up to 2,000 m² (~21,528 ft²) in size. You can use the accompanying app to select from four modes, including surface and edge, and to adjust the cutting height between 3 and 7 cm (~1.2 and 2.8-in). Alternatively, you can control the robot using an integrated color display, job wheel and keyboard. The Dreame Roboticmower A1 is expected to arrive in North America and Europe early next year; the product’s pricing has yet to be announced.
