PANDEMIC TRIGGERED GROWTH
Vacuum cleaners as a category started seeing a spurt after the pandemic struck in 2020 when most of us were pushed to become self-reliant. Tech companies were quick to spot the opportunity and voila! the market exploded for vacuuming. I, for one, have not yet called my house-help back, blame it on the odd work hours and perhaps traditional cleaning methods don’t work for me anymore.

ATTACHMENTS- DIME A DOZEN!
And This is where gadgets like the V15 come in handy with stellar features and powerful performance. Let’s first take you through the attachments, which are galore.

DESIGN AND BUILD:
PERFORMANCE:
Excellent suction if I were to round up performance in two words! And the basis for good performance is suction power, which is the best that’s available in the market right now. Supporting great suction is a 240AW motor which is rather big. With respect to cleaning, you don’t need to clean a movement twice, it’s that powerful.
It sucks up debris, dust, twigs, leaves, food crumbs, hair, and even small particulates with equal ease. For effective performance, it uses a laser cleaning head to show small debris, to aid in the cleaning. The claim of this cleaner sucking up 99.9% of dust seems pretty accurate. There are 3 modes as well, eco, auto, and boost modes to customize a cleaning and suction power. I used the boost mode for cleaning dust in wall corners and eco mode for picking up food crumbs and everyday cleaning.
As for those intelligently thought of attachments, well don’t get intimidated by them, thinking them to be complicated pieces. Do try on all of them and believe me, they all serve a different purpose and are worth trying and using.
Bin capacity is humungous, even though I cleaned the bin after every cleaning session to maintain it well but for slackers, it’s great too.
DATA GATHERING:
BATTERY:
And no w for the battery! One full session on eco mode lasts for good 60-70 mins, however, on boost mode, the machine lasts for 35-40 minutes, which could be a tad difficult for people living either in large houses or those gathering enough dust. And it takes about 4-5 hours to get 100% charged. Cleaning a large house will need investment in another battery.
Another parameter the V15 scores high on is maintenance. Just regularly detangling the brushes, cleaning the soft brush, wiping off the dust on the vacuum, and you’re done!
SHOULD YOU BUY IT?
Dyson doesn’t shy away from asking what it thinks it deserves- which is it does cost a pretty penny. And might I say, it’s quite justified in doing so. The premium features, multiple attachments, durability, smart controls, convenience, you name it and it’s got all of those checked. It also lacks support to clean wet stains, which is a common occurrence in Indian homes.
So, in the end, those like me, living away from family, have busy lives, this is perhaps one of the best gifts anyone could gift you as an investment of sorts. For cleanliness freaks of a different level, like me, nothing comes better than a solid vacuum cleaning to fulfill all your cleaning needs.
