Razr 50 Ultra might just be a glorified Razr 40 Ultra
Speculations about the Razr 50 Ultra’s performance suggest that the phone will have 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. This combination gives you more than enough space for storing apps, media, and files. There’ll also be three color choices, Blue, Orange, and Green.
There may be other variants with lesser or more RAM and storage. However, a higher storage model is unlikely since the aforementioned memory options were the maximum that the 40 Ultra model offered. The minimum was 8GB RAM and 256GB. It first debuted in India in June last year. It was selling for ₹58,480, roughly around $700.
The phone also used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and had a 6.9-inch AMOLED display. The rear cameras are 12 MP and 13 MP, while the selfie camera is 32MP. The battery capacity is a small 3800mAh.
Razr 50 Ultra may not appear with the same name globally
Rumors are swirling that the Razr 50 Ultra will hit some markets under the name Motorola Razr+ 2024. It’s not surprising, considering that the Razer 40 Ultra appeared with the name “Razr+” in the USA. Russia’s EEC certification website once listed the Razr 50 Ultra with the model number XT2453-1.
A month later, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website also showcased the phone. But Motorola itself hasn’t officially confirmed the release date, specifications, and design, among other information. It may come out in June this year too.
Though the leaked images aren’t so clear, Motorola seems to have compressed the Razr 50 Ultra’s side lock button and hinges. It’s slightly lower or inset into the surface of the device, rather than protruding outward.
This design may indicate a side fingerprint scanner or could simply be a stylistic choice. But it’s normal practice for phone manufacturers to make side sensors that way. It allows for optimal recognition and comfort when you place your finger pads on them.
Many exciting releases are ahead
There’s no word on when the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra will come. There’s also no information on what specifications it’ll have. Since it’s still unconfirmed, we’ll be filtering any information concerning it and keeping our eyes on Motorola’s official channels.
In other exciting news, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is finally here. Outside the Motorola family, Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 later this year, and Apple’s first-ever foldable is abuzz for next year. How cool is that?
