Delta Design:
The FLSUN S1 is a Delta-style 3D printer, which differs from traditional printers in its movement mechanism. Instead of having a moving bed and x carriage, it has 3 arms that are attached to 3 rails on the sides. These arms can move independently to position the effectors for precise and fast printing. The FLSUN S1 also has a unique build volume, which is shaped like a cylinder rather than a cube or rectangle. The build plate is circular, with a diameter of 320mm, and the maximum printing height is 430mm. The FLSUN S1 comes with a PEI plate, which helps with adhesion and removal of prints. The printer uses a bimetallic nozzle, which is composed of brass and hardened steel. Cooling holes in other locations also help to dissipate small amounts of heat. This cooling system is very efficient and helps the print model to cool quickly and improves the print quality.
Synchronized wheel and belt:
FLSUN S1 has a 30-tooth synchronous wheel steel belt that ensures a balance of torque and speed. This belt is more durable and less prone to stretching and abrasion than the one used by FLSUN V400. It also has a semi-automatic adjustment feature.
