Full Review of Logitech G933 Wireless Gaming Headset

Whether you or someone you know is into PC, console, or even mobile gaming, it is highly likely that gaming is a part of your life in some way, shape, or form. Along with the growth of these different kinds of gaming, we are also witnessing the rise of online multiplayer gaming. This means that being able to communicate virtually is also a growing priority. Thus the rise of gaming headsets. We have reviewed other wireless Logitech headsets in the past. But now, we shift focus to a full review of the Logitech G933 wireless gaming headset.

Basic Overview – 8.2/10

The Logitech G933 wireless headset is a very well-rounded gaming headset. Wireless means not having to deal with pesky cords getting in the way or finding themselves in a tangle. Outside of its wireless design, the headset delivers on all the essentials you need out of your gaming headset. The design is passable, the mic quality is great, and the sound quality is very solid. And unlike the wireless Corsair headset, there are no concerns with material quality or product durability.  All in all, the Logitech G933 wireless gaming headset is a great versatile gaming option.

Design – 6.3/10

As with most higher-quality gaming headsets, the Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum has somewhat of a bulky design. Two large square ear cups are connected by a wide headband that runs across the top. The headset comes with a two-tone black and gray design that while not breathtaking, is quite sleek. The large and spacious ear cups are relatively comfortable and provide the wearer with decent breathability. This means you shouldn’t run into any issues with sweating or overheating. While the ear cups are generally better than other gaming headsets we would still highly advise against usage in hot and humid environments. All in all, the Logitech G933’s design is solid but is not the main selling point of the headset.

Controls/Ease of Use – 7.5/10

The Logitech G933 wireless gaming headset has an intricate and in-depth, albeit confusing control system. Users have two different options for controls depending on whether they are using the headset wirelessly or not. If not, the controls can be found on the right ear cup. And when connected by wire the control can be found on the actual cord itself. Users can control a variety of sound and voice settings, as well as the basic play and pause features. The buttons have a nice design and are very durable. All in all, the control layout of the Logitech G933 is well-done and has no major weaknesses.

Sound – 8.1/10

The sound system for the Logitech G933 wireless is very high-end. The headset has very low latency and the sound quality is crisp and distinct. You will have no trouble locating enemy gunfire and making distinctions between sounds. Although it isn’t quite up to typical standard, one of the coolest features of the G933 is its surround sound system availability. Because of the lack of available space, it won’t be as high quality as some true stand-alone surround sound systems, but it is still an awesome feature for a gaming headset. If the surround sound quality was better this would easily be a true, top-of-the-line gaming headset sound system.

Microphone – 9.3/10

One of the biggest selling points of the Logitech G933 wireless headset is the microphone quality. Users have rarely if ever reported issues with mic quality or durability, and the voice pickup is crisp and clear. The high-quality microphone means that this headset is not only great for gaming and party chat but can also for crisp phone call communication and more. All in all, the Logitech G933 wireless gaming headset provides one of the top microphones on the market today.

Convenience – 5.8/10

Unfortunately for potential Logitech G933 buyers, the headset isn’t ideal for travel or portable use. The bulky size and lack of ability to fold/collapse the headphones mean that they can be quite difficult to store safely and comfortably for travel or portable usage. The headset also offers little in the way of noise cancellation meaning they aren’t ideal for usage on public transit like planes or buses. The mic is also retractable and as such cannot be detached which can cause issues with the durability of the microphone. While the headset is usable while traveling, it is not one of the top features of the headset.

Quality of Material – 7.7/10

While still featuring a mostly plastic composition, the Logitech G933 wireless gaming headset received some tweaks that make it much more durable than previous models from Logitech. The product design is aesthetically pleasing, and the parts are durable and dense, but still feel relatively lightweight. The headband is comfortable and has metal bands to reinforce the structure and support. Overall, the material quality of the Logitech G933 is very sound and solid. Users shouldn’t expect issues with durability.
