Galaxy Ring Tracking Features Leak Ahead Of Launch

A  “Did you know?” section appears right below the motivation to tell you fun facts about how psychological and physical states can influence heart control. While the app calculates your stress level, it is best to stay still and quiet during the measurement.

Besides stress monitoring, the app also checks your skin temperature to predict your periods. Although Samsung hasn’t officially explained these features, it will likely record how your temperature fluctuates throughout the menstrual cycle because of hormonal changes. Then, you can predict your periods or catch irregularities on time.

Galaxy Ring checks your snoring pattern

Snore detection works the same as wearing your smartwatch to sleep. You’ll wear the Galaxy Ring and place your phone nearby, although it’s unlikely it will play an active role. The leaked app image suggests that your phone is the more critical device, and you must place it beside you as you sleep. Then, you’ll give the Samsung Health app permission to record audio through your phone to detect your snoring. The app will create time-stamped recordings of your snoring and heavy breathing.

Other sensors present on the ring include the following:

  • ECG sensor: Monitors heart rate and heart rate variability.
  • Blood flow sensor: Measures blood flow and detects signs of cardiovascular disease.
  • SpO2 sensor: Measures blood oxygen saturation levels.
  • PPG sensor: Detects irregular heart rhythms.

Note: The Galaxy Ring can be a helpful health companion. However, it’s not intended to completely replace hospital tests and experts, as its results may not be accurate. You’ll want to observe your regular checkups with your healthcare provider.

Rumored specs for Galaxy Ring are promising

Previous leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Ring will be available in eight sizes, from 5 to 12. It’ll weigh roughly three grams and come in black, gold, and silver with a charging case. The ring will also come in different battery variations. The 17mAh variant is the smallest, followed by the 18.5 mAh and 22 mAh capacities.

Regardless, Samsung says that they can last up to nine days. But of course, the battery life depends on your usage pattern, and real-world longevity is usually different from what is advertised. The Ring’s price is predicted to start at $300, although you’ll want to regard it without much expectation—and frankly, every feature is rumored until Samsung makes an official statement. Who knows? The ring may come out completely different.
