Garmin Now Offers Watch Faces From Disney, Porsche And More

Garmin, a popular GPS and wearable technology company, has announced that their Connect IQ Store now supports product purchases using Garmin Pay. You can now buy new features from brands like Disney, GoPro, Porsche, and TaylorMade.

For example, you might get a Disney-themed watch face, an app to control your GoPro camera, or a Porsche-inspired watch face. Here are all the watch faces you can buy and for how much.

Transform your smartwatch with Garmin’s fresh watch face collection

Watch faces are the visual designs displayed on your smartwatch’s screen. They show the time and can include additional information like date, weather, fitness stats, or custom images. They help you to customize your wrist accessory to match your personal style, interests, or functional needs as a developer. Per the latest development, Garmin is offering you four unique watch faces.

The collection features a Grogu (Baby Yoda) digital watch face that showcases six different poses rotating around the screen. If you’re a Marvel fan, you’ll enjoy a digital watch face with Tony Stark (Iron Man), while classic Disney lovers can choose between analog watch faces featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, where the characters’ hands tell the time.

For years, our customers have turned to the Connect IQ Store for fun and informative watch faces and apps to support their endeavors and now, we are excited to advance our Connect IQ marketplace even more. Enabling premium apps allows third-party developers to be rewarded for their hard work. We are thrilled that some of the largest brands in the world have joined us to launch new watch faces and apps, and we look forward to the future of our Connect IQ platform.

In addition, the GoPro Camera Control app allows you to manage your GoPro cameras directly from your wrist or mobile device. With this app, you can start and stop recordings, capture still photos, and adjust camera settings without having to physically touch the camera. It’s especially useful for hands-free operation during action shots or while bike riding or performing other activities where it’s hard to use the camera.

Porsche, TaylorMade, and space designs await you

Besides the aforementioned perks, there are various themed watch faces waiting for you. There are Porsche-themed faces featuring the Porsche wordmark, crest, and the classic 917 Salzburg livery design. The TaylorMade face has a golf ball background mimicking the TP5’s dimple pattern and displays your last round’s score.

For space enthusiasts, there are faces inspired by NASA’s Apollo Mission and the James Webb telescope, including designs with retro astronauts and rotating images of space. These watch faces and apps are currently available for select smartwatches, with a starting price of $4.99.

You can buy them from the Connect IQ Store. Connect IQ is Garmin’s app store for their smartwatches, bike computers, and outdoor gadgets. It lets developers create and share their apps with Garmin users. Using the Connect IQ SDK (a set of tools for building apps), you can upload your apps to the store. If you’re also interested in monetizing those apps, visit the developer site for more information.
