The 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M3 Pro chip is an excellent option for video editing, 3D modelling, local AI models, and other productivity workloads that demand high performance.
You can get a 14-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro with 18GB of unified memory for just $1,499 at B&H Photo today, a savings of $900 from the original price. The 32GB memory option is also $900 off. This sale at B&H Photo ends after today, or whenever stock runs out, so don’t wait too long.
This is the 14-inch version of the M3 MacBook Pro, which was released in late 2023 and just recently replaced by M4 models in late 2024. The M3 Pro models on sale have a 12-core chipset, an 18-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine, allowing you to speed through everything from heavy video editing to local AI workloads. The 14.2-inch 3024×1964 Liquid Retina XDR screen looks great, too, but there is a ‘notch’ cutout at the top for the webcam and various sensors.
The models on sale have 1TB of internal storage, with either 18GB or 32GB of unified memory. Mac computers share the unified memory across RAM and VRAM, so you get the best possible performance for the current task. This is especially helpful for photo editing, video production, and local AI models, which are normally limited to however much VRAM is in the computer.
For connectivity, you get three Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, HDMI, an SD card reader, Apple’s MagSafe power adapter (not the same MagSafe as iPhones) and a combo headphone jack. You can use any of those Thunderbolt ports for power input, external displays, high-speed storage, or other accessories. They also function as USB 3.2 ports, but you’ll need an adapter or hub to connect accessories with the older USB Type-A port.
Apple’s M3 chips are still more than powerful enough for most tasks, so this MacBook Pro with an M3 Pro is a great deal while it lasts. The 1TB of built-in storage is also great, and if you run out, you can add more high-speed storage with an external SSD.
