Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge just got a lot better thanks to a free PDF Editor tool announced by Adobe. After years of frustration and headache, mainly from PDFs, users can now add an extension that makes it easy to view, edit, and manage PDFs inside the browser.

This new feature debuted back in August, but Adobe is only just now announcing it. The company released a significant update to its Acrobat tools extension for both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. And while there are several new features, the main addition is a free PDF editor. All you have to do is add the extension to try them out.

With this update, Adobe Acrobat allows users to edit PDFs, add comments, markups, signatures, and several other basic edits directly inside a browser window. And considering this works on Google Chrome, it may also work on Chrome OS too, although Adobe didn’t mention it.

The extension lets users rotate, delete, or reorder PDF pages to optimize viewing and printing, transform a PDF into a Microsoft Word document, convert web pages into PDFs, and more.

Keep in mind that some of the more advanced features will not be included in the free tool and will require an Adobe subscription. And if you do need more features, it’s offering a free 7-day trial.
