Google One AI Premium Subscription Now Unlocks More NotebookLM Features

Many people think of Gemini when they think of an AI made by Google, but NotebookLM is often overlooked and might be more useful than Gemini itself. Now, the premium version of the AI, which was recently arrived for business users, is rolling out for everyone.

NotebookLM Plus is now available on Google’s One AI Premium subscription, which already gave you access to Gemini’s better Advanced tier and more AI integration across Google apps and services. NotebookLM allows users to upload sources, such as research papers, documents, and now even YouTube videos, and then interact with the AI to gain insights, summarize key points, and even generate new content based on their materials. While the direction of some AIs including Gemini itself has recently gone in the direction of performing research themselves, NotebookLM is good for actually helping you research. It’s a neat service you can use to basically make a chatbot that’s knowledgeable about any topic you give it.

NotebookLM Plus was previously available as a separate plan targeted at businesses and educational institutions, and it offers significantly increased capacity. Subscribers get five times more Audio Overviews, the ability to create more Notebooks, ask more questions, and analyze more sources per notebook. Plus users also enjoy premium customization features such as changing how they share their notebooks and tracking the number of daily views their shared notebooks receive. It doesn’t give you access to any special, more advanced language model, but it does greatly expand on the capabilities it already has.

As a reminder, Google One AI Premium is currently priced at $19.99 per month (with a promotional offer of $9.99/month for eligible US students for the first year). It’s not just the AI capabilities, as it also functions as a regular 2TB Google One subscription. You get 2TB of Google Drive storage and a lot of other stuff across Google apps.
