With the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro finally unveiled, Google also announced something called “Pixel Pass” which is the search giant’s take on Apple Pass. Pixel Pass is a holistic solution that features phone installments, Google One storage, YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, Play Pass, and Preferred Coverage in one tidy package.
Pricing starts from $45 for the Pixel 6 and $55 for the Pixel 6 Pro, and you can subscribe via the Google Store or with a phone plan on Google Fi. You’ll get access to the following when you sign up for Pixel Pass:
- An unlocked Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro that works with all major carriers that you can upgrade every two years
- YouTube Premium for ad-free watching and background play while using other apps
- YouTube Music Premium for ad-free, uninterrupted listening
- Google One with 200 GB of safe, reliable cloud storage for full-resolution photos and videos, Google Store discounts, automatic phone backup, and more
- Google Play Pass with access to hundreds of games and apps completely free of ads and in-app purchases
- Preferred Care coverage to cover life’s little accidents with hassle-free phone repairs, replacements, and more
According to Google, you’ll save up to $294 over a two-year period when compared to paying for each service separately, and you’ll save an additional $5 off your monthly Fi plan if you subscribe through Google Fi with a phone plan, bringing the possible savings total to $414 over the two year period. You can cancel the subscription at any time whereby you’ll just need to pay off the remaining balance on the Pixel 6 or 6 Pro.
