You Can Now Circle Things To Search Things On Your Pixel Tablet
Google doesn’t tend to put out many user-facing changes to its core search experience. I mean, you might tend to notice that some things behave differently, but it isn’t ever really drastic. Circle To Search might be one of the first additions to the Google Search experience that is very hard to miss, and the best part is that it’s actually good.
Fortunately, all that goodness is finally making its way to the Pixel Tablet. This isn’t much of a surprise as the feature has been rolling out to older Google Pixel smartphones as well as many older Galaxy devices. The only surprise is that Circle To Search is coming to the Pixel Tablet a lot later than it came to the Pixel Fold, despite the feature being announced for both devices at the same time.
According to Android Authority, a tipster running Android 15 Beta 1.2 and Google App 15.17.28.29 on their Pixel Tablet let them in on the fact that Circle To Search was now a live feature and they were informed with a popup window announcing the new feature’s arrival. It was able to work perfectly fine too. However, it does currently seem that the rollout isn’t in its full-throttle phase yet, as only a few other people seem to have gotten this feature at this point.
Circle To Search Is An Incredibly New Search Feature That Will Make Things Easier And Save Time
I don’t think that Circle To Search is one of those features that you need to use first-hand to get an idea of how useful it is. Instead of needing to send a picture to all of your friends to ask them what jacket Timothee Chalamet happens to be wearing in a certain press photo, you can just pull up Circle To Search, circle the jacket, and it’ll tell you what it’s called. It’ll even add links that you can use to purchase it for yourself if it is available online.
But maybe it’s not all about purchasing new things for you. You might see a famous landmark or a beach that you really want to visit, and instead of struggling to describe what you see in the picture, you can leave Google’s image recognition technology to take care of that after circling what’s on screen. You’ll get an answer pretty fast.
Or maybe you just want more info about some object, animal, or plant that’s on your screen. Circle To Search can do that too. Honestly, it’s pretty convenient, and other Android brands should get it, eventually.
