[Guide] How to make a WhatsApp Sticker using WhatsApp Web

WhatsApp Stickers are a fun and unique way of interacting with friends, family, and acquaintances on WhatsApp. They’re perfect for when an emoji is unable to convey what you are feeling or how you are feeling. While there are a sea of apps that can help you make stickers on your phone, there is no proper way of making stickers without one. Today we remedy that by teaching you how to use WhatsApp Web to make your own WhatsApp Sticker!

Making WhatsApp Stickers using WhatsApp Web

WhatsApp is one of the oldest instant messaging apps known to modern-day smartphone users. Being one of the most widely used messaging apps, the feature has gone on to add robust and unique features over the years with the latest addition to the app being the ability to send stickers. Considered by many as ‘a personal emoji’ in the form of a relevant image, these are a great way of expressing yourself when in conversations and can really add an element of fun to the table.

The process is fairly simple and self-explanatory, with the most important step being to make sure you have your phone connected to WhatsApp Web.

From there, you will need to open up any conversation window you have going on and click on the Emoji icon.

From there, you will now click on the Sticker tab denoted by 1 in the image below, and then create denoted by 2.

From here, you will be taken to select an image that you want to turn into a sticker. This is where you can use any photo you wish, but my go-to image is always a good meme. For the purpose of this guide, we will turn to an icon – “cheems”.

You will now enter a small editing station on WhatsApp Web. Over here you can crop and adjust the size of the image, and edit the image to your liking. You can add an emoji, overlay another sticker on top, add text, color it with a pencil or marker, and crop the image. If you don’t like how it turns out, you can undo the change or delete the change with the recycle bin when visible.

If you’re like me, you will just make the image as big as possible in the frame, and once you are content with the changes you’ve made, you can press the send button to deliver it into the current conversation window.

While apps on the Google Play Store will undoubtedly do the job faster and easier, there are still security risks present, as you can never be sure about the permissions an app could be using. So the integrated tool within WhatsApp Web itself is by far the best and easiest way to add stickers. In addition to stealing stickers from friends, this is also a great way of growing your collection and having the right sticker ready for when you need it.
