Halo Infinite: How to get the Scorpion Gun

One of the most famous easter egg collectibles in Halo 2 was the Scarab Gun, which was a Plasma Rifle that could infinitely fire the same devastating energy beam that the Covenant’s Scarab walker used throughout the campaign. 343 Industries has decided to pay homage to the Scarab Gun with an easter egg weapon of their own in the Halo Infinite campaign — the Scorpion Gun.

This joke weapon is completely invisible, has infinite ammo, and fires explosive shells that are identical to the ones used when driving a Scorpion tank. Like the Scarab Gun, though, the Scorpion Gun can only be picked up at a specific location at a specific time. Here’s how you can acquire the Scorpion Gun for yourself.

How to get the Halo Infinite Scorpion Gun

While the Scorpion Gun is well hidden, getting your hands on it is very easy once you know what to do — provided you’re on a new playthrough and haven’t progressed past the third mission. Here’s how to obtain it:

1. On a new playthrough, play up until the Outpost Tremonius mission.
2. After clearing the base of enemies, go to the northeastern edge of the base.

1. Jump onto the end of the right barrel of the second cannon.
2. When prompted, pick up the Scorpion Gun.

Note that once you’ve picked the Scorpion Gun up, it will disappear if you swap it out for another weapon. Therefore, if you want to use it for the entire Halo Infinite campaign, make sure you never drop it. Also, keep in mind that the dead Marine and the datapad that spawns the weapon will disappear after you finish the Outpost Tremonius mission, so you’ll need to start a new playthrough to get the Scorpion Gun if you didn’t get it during the mission.
