Halo Infinite multiplayer will get ray tracing on Xbox Series X

What you need to know

  • Halo Infinite Season 3, Echoes Within, is now available for players across Xbox consoles and Windows PC.
  • One of the features added in this new season is ray-traced sun shadows, which are now available in the PC version of the game if players have the correct hardware.
  • 343 Industries shared in the patch notes for the season that this feature will be coming to Xbox Series X in the future.

While one of the neat features in Halo Infinite’s latest season is currently exclusive to the PC version of the game, that won’t be the case forever.

According to the patch notes (opens in new tab) for Halo Infinite Season 3, Echoes Within, ray traced sun shadows will be coming to Xbox Series X in the future, though there’s no time frame on when to expect this.
