Halo Infinite reaches over 20 million players

    Halo Infinite has been played by over 20 million players, according to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, speaking during the company’s FY22 Q2 earnings call. The paid campaign, which released on Dec. 8, 2021, reached the #2 spot on the December 2021 NPD charts, while the free-to-play multiplayer first launched back on Nov. 15, 2021.

    Microsoft is continuing to invest in its gaming division, building the Xbox first-party lineup with new IP and studios. Microsoft is acquiring Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion, the company’s biggest acquisition ever.
