Owners of iPhones, iPads and Macs are advised to update software to fix a software issue that could allow attackers to take complete control of the devices.
Apple released a security update for iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1 after finding two vulnerabilities that could lead to “arbitrary code execution.” A second update was released on the same day for users of mac OS Monterey followed by updates for macOS Big Sur and macOS Catalina.
The update includes all models of iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pros, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and seventh generation iPod touch.
Apple said it is “aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.” The company did not detail has the flaw was discovered or additional information as to how it has been used.
