Have You Seen This? Peel apples faster than you can say ‘apple pie’

THE KITCHEN — While we all look forward to gathering around the table for Thanksgiving, few people love the part of the holiday when they’re asked to peel potatoes or apples for a crowd.

One dad, however, uses a super-fast hack for peeling apples.

This guy “works smarter, not harder” by sticking a drill with a large flat-head drill bit into an apple, turns it on and runs the apple peeler over the fruit while the drill spins it. The whole apple is peeled in about half a second.

He smiles as he displays his handiwork — a clean, shiny, skinless apple.

It’s unclear if the dad is using the drill method as a joke — he works above two trash cans that appear to be filled with peelings.

Country Living magazine agrees that the method — which apparently first hit the internet several years ago during the “life-hacks” trend — works, but warns anyone who might try it on their own to “be extremely careful.”

I might just try this method on potatoes this week — if, of course, my dad will lend me his drill. We’ll see how that goes.
