High Court Passes on Amazon Patent Board Review Authority Case


The US Supreme Court will not review the US Patent and Trademark Office’s practice of allowing an administrative tribunal to decide whether to begin a patent validity proceeding, dashing an Amazon competitor’s hopes of undermining unfavorable patent decisions against it.

The high court declined to take up the case Monday without explaining its reasoning, as is customary.
