We’ve seen the recent launch of the affordable Realme Pad (review coming soon) and it actually seems like the Android tablet segment could be undergoing something of a Renaissance with rumors of further such devices from the likes of OnePlus. Another name to add to that list is HMD Global who confirmed that it will launch a Nokia-branded tablet on October 6th.
As you can see from the embedded tweet above, Nokia Mobile has confirmed the presence of a tablet in the launch line-up, presumably one that will have cellular connectivity judging by the ‘Everything you’d expect from a Nokia phone in a tablet’ line. It’s thought that the Nokia tablet will sport the T20 moniker with a 10.36-inch display, 4GB RAM, 64GB of storage, as well as support for 4G networks. As for pricing, it could go on sale for around the £200 (~$280) mark which would be fairly affordable.
Besides the tablet, we also expect HMD Global to announce a number of smartphones during the event, likely to be in the affordable segment which is where Nokia seems to be concentrating its efforts these days.
