HMD Global is back with a new handset to attack the affordable smartphone segment in the form of the Nokia 1.4 that comes with an £89/€99 price tag. Sporting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 215 chipset, dual rear cameras, and a big 6.51-inch HD+ display, the Nokia 1.4 runs on Android GO Edition.
Running on Android 10-based Go Edition firmware, the Nokia 1.4 is said to be Android 11-ready and will enjoy 3 years of security updates. Because it is an entry-level smartphone, though, it would be surprising if HMD Global rolled out an Android 12 update to it.
Featuring the Camera Go app from Google, the Nokia 1.4 offers Portrait and Night mode functionality while the macro lens gives the option of taking close-up pics.
