If we take a guess based on Honor 200 Lite’s name, it could be part of the Honor 200 family, succeeding Honor’s 100 series. The Honor 100 lineup, comprising the Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro, was released last November. Although it skipped on a Lite model, its predecessor had one.

The Honor 200 Lite will be the company’s second smartphone launch this month, as it unveiled the Honor 90 Smart a few days back. The 200 Lite has been listed as an upcoming device on Honor’s France website (spotted by Gizmochina). Though the listing doesn’t tell much about the phone, it has some images showing the phone’s design and colorways.

Your First Look at the Honor 200 Lite

Honor hasn’t been shy of experimenting with new designs, giving us some beautiful-looking smartphones lately. The Honor 200 Lite’s images reveal beautiful aesthetics, though with a subtle hint of inspiration from Apple’s iPhones. Its bezels on all four sides look pretty slim and symmetrical on these renders, and if the real phone also looks the same, it would be impressive – considering it’s a mid-range phone.

At the top, you also get a pill-shaped cutout for the selfie camera, and it’s unclear if it’s for housing a secondary shooter, sensors, or just for aesthetic purposes. The Honor 200 Lite will be available in three color options: Midnight Black, Cyan Lake, and Starry Blue. Interestingly, the Starry Blue will be exclusive to Honor’s official website only in France, with no details about other countries.

Honor 200 Lite: Specifications

While details about the Honor 200 Lite are scarce at the moment, a leak suggested that the phone could rock similar specifications to the China-limited Honor X50i Plus, since both these phones carry the same model number.

The Honor X50i Plus is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6080 SoC, which performs similarly to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 chipset. For the display, it gets a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 2000 nits peak brightness. The rear dual-camera setup includes a 108MP primary lens with 10X digital zoom and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, it gets an 8MP wide-angle lens.

Interestingly, the X50i Plus gets 12GB RAM as standard, accompanied by 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. A 4,500 mAh battery will keep the phone running, and when low on power, you can charge it at up to 35W. Lastly, the phone boots on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13.

The specifications are a mix of what we see on upper mid-range and lower mid-range smartphones. If the Honor 200 Lite does get similar specifications, it will be a competitive phone if priced correctly.

Launch Date and Availability

According to Honor France’s website, the Honor 200 Lite will see the light of day on April 25 at 5 PM local time. We also spotted the smartphone on Honor’s Germany website, so it will be available there as well.

Previously, the Honor 200 Lite has also visited certification agencies in Thailand and Dubai. You can expect the phone to be released in several countries throughout Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, among others.

The launch of the Honor 200 Lite could mean that we can expect a full-fat Honor 200 to succeed last year’s rather excellent Honor 90 instead of simply moving up to ‘100′. We’ll find out for sure in the next couple of months.
