Honor Magic 7 Pro Leak Reveals Specs And November Launch

The Honor Magic 7 Pro is becoming more popular ahead of a possible November launch. Recent leaked specs suggest that it will feature a 6.82-inch 2K OLED display with quad-curved edges and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.

Also, it’s expected to use UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM. If you’re a camera enthusiast, you might be excited about the potential 50-megapixel front camera and a rear setup with three 50-megapixel sensors. Here’s more information.

Disclaimer: The specs discussed in this post are based on predictions and rumors. The original Honor Magic 7 Pro smartphone may change specifications upon release.

Honor Magic 7 Pro To Bring Impressive Battery And Display

Chinese technology news website, CNMO, reports that the upcoming Honor Magic 7 Pro phone may come with a 5,800mAh battery. It’ll also support 100W wired and 66W wireless charging. Additionally, the phone should come with IP68/69 water and dust-resistance as weel as satellite communication support.

The phone will use 8T LTPO technology for its 2K display, which adjusts the refresh rate based on what you’re looking at. So, if you’re just scrolling through photos, it’ll save battery, but when you’re gaming or watching videos, it’ll give you smoother visuals. Plus, the screen is supposed to be protected by Kunlun Glass instead of Corning’s protective products.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be under the hood. It is Qualcomm’s next big chip, arriving in October. It will almost certainly be paired with both UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM that’ll give the system a snappy performance.

Expect Top-tier Camera Setup And Connectivity Features

On the camera front, Honor didn’t spill all the details, but it sounds like the phone will have a killer setup. We’re looking at multiple lenses. The front camera will have a 50MP primary sensor paired with a 3D depth-sensing lens. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. In short, the Magic 7 Pro will build upon the standards set by its predecessor.

The new phone also uses Honor’s C1 + RF chip to manage all its wireless connections, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. They launched it with the Magic 5 smartphones on March 2, 2023. It improved antenna transmission by up to 17%, sped up Wi-Fi by 200%, and cut Wi-Fi latency by up to 90%. The chip outperformed the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and Huawei Mate 40 Pro in speed and call quality tests.

For security, the phone supports single-point ultrasonic fingerprint unlocking, which means it can accurately read your fingerprint even if your finger is wet or oily. It uses 2D face recognition for quick access, though it’s not as secure as 3D face recognition.

Whether or not the leak is entirely accurate is anyone’s guess; however, there are no outlandish claims, and we are inclined to give it a certain amount of legitimacy. What we can be sure of is that the Magic 7 Pro will likely launch months earlier than predicted and that it will pack many of the latest flagship features we expect.

In the meantime, we have the Magic V3 foldable launching in early September during IFA 2024 in Berlin.
