Honor Magic 7 Series Global Launch Rumored For January 27th

I’ll admit that I never used to pay too much attention to Honor. Not because it wasn’t doing good things, but because its devices just never really appealed to me on a personal level. However, when the Honor Magic 6 series was unveiled, my song changed for good. Those devices were beautiful and powerful. You don’t have to compromise.

Needless to say, I’m excited about the Honor Magic 7 series finding its way to international markets, and we know for a fact that the phones will be coming to Europe at the very least. However, thanks to a leaker, we now have a good suggestion of an actual date.

The Honor Magic 7 Phones Might Be Arriving In Europe On January 27th

The Honor Magic 7 series is no longer a mystery. As is the case with most Chinese manufacturers, the devices have already been launched in China, and it’s only after that a global launch might be announced. However, looking at past releases, it’s easy to know which OEMs will serve the global fans and Honor is one of them.

The Honor Magic 7 was bound for a global launch and Honor has pretty much teased it itself. However, there’s no actual date attached to it. Thanks to Rodent950 on X though, we have a better idea of when it might launch and that seems to be January 27th.

This seems just about right, considering its predecessor launched globally in February this year, so a late first-month launch fits roughly into the pattern. It’ll likely launch in the same window as the Samsung Galaxy S25 series as well as the OnePlus 13 devices. If you’re in the market for a new flagship, you’ll have a good slate to choose from. However, keep in mind that it will likely only be the Pro model that shows up.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro Has A Very Solid Spec Sheet

The good thing about devices launching first in China is that it gives you a lot of extra time to figure out if you really want the device. With the Honor Magic 7 Pro, the specs are no secret, making your purchasing decision easier.

You get a 6.8-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED display that is curved around all four edges (though to different extents), with a 5,000-nit peak brightness. It has a pill-shaped cutout for the 50MP selfie camera and the 3D ToF sensor—which means better face-unlocking capabilities. Of course, none other than the Snapdragon 8 Elite is in the pilot’s seat.

There’s a 50MP variable aperture primary camera, a 200MP 3x periscope telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide. You get a massive 5,850mAh battery, 100W wired charging, and 80W wireless charging. And don’t forget IP69 certification.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro Could Potentially Be Very Expensive

All good things come at a price though, and it seems the Magic 7 Pro will come at a high one. According to Rodent950, once again, the Magic 7 Pro will be €1,399. That’s a lot of money, and it makes it €100 more than its predecessor.

Sure, there’s a lot that the smartphone offers, but the price might end up being the major reason why most interested people will ultimately turn their backs on the phone, especially when a company like Oppo offers the Find X8 Pro at a much lower price in Europe.
