Honor’s Magic 6 will be powered by the Snapragon 8 Gen 3 with eye-tracking and multi-device connectivity

Having recently unveiled the somewhat affordable Magic Vs2 foldable, the next model coming up in Honor’s release schedule would appear to be the Magic 6. Confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the Magic 6 will also sport a ‘cutting-edge 7 billion on-device Large Language Model (LLM)’ to provided a personalized experience with features such as Magic Capsule eye-tracking and multi-device connections via the MagicRing function.

The Magic 6’s AI capabilities will allow the user to create short videos using photos and footage stored on the device by issuing a voice command to the phone’s YOYO virtual assistant. Templates, themes, and music are also available to be applied to the generated videos to further personalize the results, as shown in the video above.

The Magic Capsule function brings eye-tracking based on ‘multimodal interaction’ to navigate the phone’s display and features, accessing the ride service’s map via the notification on the top of the display simply be shifting focus to it. It could be a nifty way of controlling the phone if your hands are otherwise occupied.

Honor hasn’t revealed all the ins and outs of the new features but this appetiser is just that, appetising. We look forward to the Magic 6 launch which will be sometime in the few months, possibly culminating at MWC 2024 in Barcelona.
