How to Clean a Fire Pit

When it comes to maintaining your fire pit, smokeless or otherwise, you don’t need to do much, apart from removing the ash after every fire and covering the pit to keep rain and other moisture out. (Preventing ash build-up helps your fires burn more efficiently; water mixed with ash can corrode steel.)

But if you have a stainless steel fire pit that over time has become discolored by the high heat of the flames (which is normal), there is a way to remove that discoloration from the exterior and restore much of the original shine.
