Here’s how to set it up for easy access whenever you need it.
Open the Settings app on your Samsung phone. Scroll down and select “Accessibility” or search for it using the search bar.
Select “Hearing Enhancements.”
Tap the “Live Transcribe” option under the “Hearing Enhancements” menu.
Toggle the “Live Transcribe Shortcut” button on, then tap the option to choose how you want to use it.
You will now see the available options for customization, allowing you to choose the one that works best for you.
You can choose to use the accessibility gesture. First, check the box next to “Use accessibility gesture” and tap the settings wheel icon.
You’ll see the option to either swipe up with two fingers from the bottom of the screen or have it float over other apps for easier access.
You can also choose to start Live Transcribe by pressing both volume keys or by setting the shortcut to work with the side button and volume up key together for quick and easy access.
How to Adjust Transcription Settings in Live Transcribe

Simply open the transcription settings, and you’ll find a slider to change the size of the text. Live Transcribe also lets you manage your transcription history. When the option is turned off, transcripts are automatically deleted after 24 hours. If you turn it on, transcripts are saved for up to 3 days. You can adjust this setting based on your needs, allowing you to keep your conversation history for as long as necessary.
To do this, go to “More Settings.”
Under “Saving,” you’ll find the “Transcription History” toggle button. You can switch it on or off based on your needs, allowing you to keep your conversation history for as long as necessary.”
There is also an option to delete the transcription history. Select this option and tap on “Delete” to clear your conversation history when you no longer need it.
For those who want to stay aware of important sounds around them, Live Transcribe provides an “Open Sound Notifications” feature.
Turning on the “Open Sound Notifications” feature under the transcription settings will give you alerts for important sounds, like doorbells or alarms, even while Live Transcribe is active.
This keeps you aware of your surroundings and ensures you don’t miss critical audio cues. You can also choose which types of sounds you want to detect, allowing for more personalized notifications.
You can also set your device to vibrate whenever your name is mentioned in a conversation. This handy feature in Live Transcribe ensures you never miss when someone is directly addressing you, even in a noisy environment.
To use this feature, go to “More Settings” under the transcription settings.
Select the “Vibrate when the name is spoken” option.
Tap on the “Add Names” option and enter the name you wish to add.
