TikTok users now can create colorful silhouettes featuring Apple’s AirPods that channel the aesthetic of the company’s iconic iPod commercials during the early 2010s. Apple is seeking a return to the past in recent years, designing products that match the style of older products with a new twist. The latest iPhones feature a refined body similar to the iPhone 4, while the latest MacBooks are thicker and more solid than previous generations. With AirPods, Apple is banking on nostalgia to push the newest features, and the silhouette commercials are making a comeback. Now, users can make silhouettes featuring the AirPods on TikTok with a new filter, and it’s simple to use.
The timing of the filter’s release is perfect, since the iPod was finally killed off last month, ending a two-decade run of dominance. The iPod controlled the portable media market for years and was only bested by the emergence of the iPhone, which made owning a portable media player redundant. Find And Use The AirPods Silhouette Filter
The filter adds AirPods to a user’s video even if they aren’t wearing them, and it can be accessed quickly from the TikTok app. After opening the application, tap the ‘+’ symbol to create a new video and then select the ‘Effects‘ button. Tap the magnifying glass symbol to search for filters and search for ‘AirPods Silhouettes‘ in the search bar. Once the filter has been found, the new video will automatically have an overlaid silhouette featuring AirPods.
