In case you missed it, Microsoft Inspire 2021 is happening from July 14 to July 15. Its dates were announced in February and registration for the event went live in June. And now, the details are available on how you can stream it from the comfort of your browser.
Microsoft’s official Inspire 2021 stream is available right at its website (embedded earlier in this sentence).
With any luck, the stream for Inspire will go more smoothly than Microsoft’s Windows 11 unveiling stream did, which involved buffering issues, crashing, and other headaches that distracted from the event itself. It’s probably too much to hope for Microsoft to swallow its pride and do its streams through a more reliable means (YouTube), so be ready with a backup option. Chiefly, there’s a good chance there’ll be an official Twitter stream of the event or a reliable restream running elsewhere when yours decides to crash.
Tech issues aside, if you’re keen on watching Inspire, remember that it’s an event mostly aimed at business partners of Microsoft and that consumer-facing news likely won’t be a top priority. However, that’s not to say there won’t be surprises. Be it Azure Speech translation or Microsoft Teams features, it’s not unheard of for interesting consumer news to make its debut at Inspire.
Here’s how Microsoft sells its event: “Join us at 8 a.m. PT Wednesday, July 14, for the latest news and innovations to help Microsoft partners, customers and people around the world achieve more.” That’s the short blurb inserted atop the stream. As to what Microsoft is planning to showcase that’ll help people across the globe accomplish “more,” — that remains to be seen. But know that you can see it on July 14 via the stream linked above.
