HP refreshes EliteBook x360 1040 G9 and 830 G9 with 16:10 displays and 12th Gen Intel CPUs

HP unveiled the latest version of its signature clamshell business laptop, the EliteBook x360 1040 G9, at CES 2022. The latest version of the EliteBook convertible runs on 12th Gen Intel processors, has an option for 5G, and supports up to 64GB of RAM. HP also announced the EliteBook x360 830 G9 today. Both laptops are expected to start shipping in March 2022, but pricing details aren’t available at this time.

The HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 is one of the best business laptops available. The EliteBook x360 1040 G9 builds off that design, bumps up the internals to the latest generation, and vertically expands to a 16:10 aspect ratio for its display. All signs point to the latest EliteBook convertible earning a spot among the best laptops for business users in 2022.

The EliteBook x360 830 G9 received a similar refresh, including a taller 16:10 display and the latest processors from Intel.

If you like the look of the EliteBook x360 1040 G9 but prefer a traditional clamshell laptop, HP also announced the EliteBook 1040 G9 today. The two laptops have almost identical spec sheets apart from the fact that the x360 version is a convertible.

HP also announced several clamshell laptops from its EliteBook 800 G9 series and 600 G9 series at CES 2022.
