HyperX Unveils New Customizable Microphones

HyperX, a division of HP, has announced the release of its latest gaming microphone, the QuadCast 2. It also announced that a higher-quality QuadCast 2 S should be available in November, and will come with many more customization options than the standard version.

These new microphones have advanced customization options and high-quality audio for gamers, streamers, and anyone who records audio. According to a press release from HP, the main attraction of the QuadCast 2 is its customization, with changeable red lighting and customizable RGB lighting, which lets you choose from different lighting effects. This means saving a custom lighting profile that can match the aesthetics of a streaming setup or brand. This is a huge plus when you pair this microphone with great headphones. This microphone also lets you adjust the microphone’s gain, playback volume, monitoring volume, and switch between different polar patterns using the onboard multifunction knob.

Both microphones come with a removable shock mount for minimizing vibrations, a multifunction knob for easy access to key settings, and a tap-to-mute sensor which simplifies audio control. The QuadCast 2 S has more options than the standard, with over 100 customizable aRGB LEDs. The QuadCast 2 offers 24-bit/96kHz fidelity and four polar patterns to suit different recording scenarios.

If you would rather adjust your microphone using your mouse, the QuadCast 2 and QuadCast 2 S can be customized using the HyperX NGENUITY software. This software lets you tune the microphone, adjust mic monitoring, and customize lighting effects like brightness and color patterns on your computer. This is much simpler than trying to navigate the onboard knobs if you’re not comfortable with manual adjustments. These features, when put together, could help it become one of the best gaming microphones this year.

You can buy the HyperX QuadCast 2 at HyperX.com or Amazon for $149.99. However, if you wait for the QuadCast 2 S, you’ll get 32-bit/192kHz fidelity, and you can buy it from the official website, Amazon, Target, or BestBuy. The QuadCast 2 S is expected to be available in November for a price of $199.99.
