When does IFA 2024 start?
This year, IFA Berlin opens to the public on Friday, September 6 at 10:00 local time and runs until close on Tuesday, September 10 at 18:00. It’s split between two venues, with the majority hosted at Messe Berlin, while the “IFA Global Markets” event takes place in STATION Berlin from September 8 to September 10, hosting business-to-business (B2B) conferences.
General public and trade visitor tickets are available via the official IFA Berlin website, alongside tickets for the “IFA Sommergarten” live music event, which automatically grant free access to IFA Berlin.
What is IFA?
IFA Berlin is one of the world’s longest-running technology exhibitions, kickstarted by the advent of radios and simple sound recording equipment. The “Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin” acronym hasn’t changed and still highlights its origins in audio hardware. However, it has since expanded to a massive range of electronics, becoming “Europe’s biggest tech show.”
Brands and manufacturers travel to Messe Berlin to present and demonstrate their latest cutting-edge devices at IFA, with laptops, desktop PCs, smartphones, and televisions among the vast collection of booths and stages hosting keynote speeches. It’s commonly a hot spot for core hardware announcements and product launches, with PC hardware likely appearing among flagship Windows laptops.
