In late July Patently Apple posted a Q2 2022 Global smartphone report and today we’re covering Q2 2022 analytical reports covering the U.S. smartphone market and the Western European tablet market and more.
Overall, the North American smartphone market reached 35.4 million shipped units in Q2 2022, down 6.4% yearly amid economic challenges, high inflation, and poor seasonal demand. Yet Apple once again beat the negative trend and delivering 3% growth thanks to the solid demand of iPhone 13.

The performance of high-end Smartphone models remained strong with Apple’s iPhone 13 series leading the way 6 out of 10 models and, to a lessor extent, Samsung’s Galaxy phones finding three spots as presented below.

Canalys also published a secondary report covering Western Europe’s PC and Tablet stats for Q2 2022. For PC’s Apple remained in Fifth spot dropping 42%, mostly due to the Shanghai shutdown which hit MacBook shipments. For Tablets, Apple remained in first place, though falling 20.6% annually.
