In Q2, Apple’s iPhone Market Share Soared in Vietnam by 115%

A new analytical report points to Vietnam’s Q2 2022 smartphone shipments having remained nearly flat, falling 1% YoY to 3.2 million units. The numbers reflect the country’s macroeconomic stability, with moderate inflationary pressure, and increased customer spending due to its markets regaining normalcy. Increasing exports amid geopolitical conflicts and COVID-19 lockdowns in China also helped the economy. New launches, along with customer preference for premium models, played a pivotal role in the Q2 smartphone shipments. In fact, premium smartphone sales grew 75% Year-over-Year.

Coincidentally or not, since Apple has been moving more production to Vietnam, their iPhone market share has been dramatically rising. The Counterpoint reports states that Apple’s market share grew 115% Year-over-Year, it’s biggest leap in growth in that country. Apple is also increasing its stores in Vietnam via official distributors, which is helping the brand to expand its customer reach.
