The Infinix GT 20 Pro is said to be powered by the capable yet fairly tiered MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. This updated 4nm SoC sits just right below MediaTek’s flagship offerings, which, in synthetic benchmark performance terms, is comparable to flagship silicon from a couple of years ago. It’s not exactly a benchmark topper anymore, but it is way more than enough for a standard for gaming and general use, much like its direct predecessor.
The GT 20 Pro listings also showed 8GB and 12GB RAM variants paired with up to 256GB of storage. These are basic configurations that are also considered the bread and butter for mid-range and base high-end smartphones as of late. More than sufficient for multitasking or pushing any heavy game graphics at decent frame rates and settings.
Physical Design
In terms of design, the GT 20 Pro is expected to follow more or less its predecessor. Leaked images suggest a flat display with slim bezels and a centered punch-hole selfie camera. The back panel will likely feature robotic or mechanical elements along with eye-catching yellow accents, a design quite popular with gaming devices. A triple rear camera array and LED flash are also anticipated.
According to the Google Play Console listing, the unit will sport a Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2436 x 1080 pixels. It’s not groundbreaking, but come on. 1080p is more than enough for 6.7—to 6.8-inch phones, especially considering Infinix’s penchant for being very competitive when it comes to putting every penny into hardware functionality.
Other Listed Specs
Powering the device will likely be a 5,000mAh battery, or somewhere a bit below, a capacity range already typical for phones of this class. Standard 45W fast wired charging support is also hinted. 5G connectivity and WiFi 6 support provide key connectivity specs, putting it more on the practical side rather than pushing new technologies.
On the software front, the GT 20 Pro is said to run Android 14 out of the box (most likely via XOS), again according to its Google Play Console listing.
The Hype Continues
As much as we are hyped by all these known specs, other information like refresh rate, type of panel, and protection are still unknown. Pricing also remains a question mark, but considering the GT 10 Pro’s positioning, the GT 20 Pro will likely aim to provide strong gaming performance at a very competitive mid-range price point.
Don’t be too worried about these, though. With multiple certifications already completed, an official announcement for the GT 20 Pro should be on the horizon. Plus, the older GT 10 Pro was released within a similar-ish three-month window after the unofficial leaks, so there’s that.
