Meta is currently experiencing a major outage across all its platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
As noted by Downdetector.com, there has been a sharp increase in reported outages from users of these various services.
The outages appear to have started shortly before 1pm Eastern and are being experienced by a significant number of users.
Meta has not yet released an update or comment on the outage, but we will keep you posted when they do share something.
Users who try to use these services are facing a variety of issues, both on the web and in their respective apps.
Issues include:
- not being able to load the site or app altogether
- trouble uploading content to the services
- sluggish behavior across the services
