
Per a new Apple press release, iOS 18.4 is set to introduce the first big language expansion for Apple Intelligence features when it launches publicly in April. Here’s what’s coming.
10 new languages supported by Apple Intelligence
When Apple Intelligence launched in October, it only supported US English.
Later in the year in iOS 18.2, Apple expanded its language options with several new localized English variants.
However, with iOS 18.4 Apple Intelligence is coming to non-English languages for the first time.
New languages supported include:
- French
- German
- Italian
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Spanish
- Japanese
- Korean
- Chinese (simplified)
There’s also now support for localized English in Singapore and India. That makes a total of 10 new language options for users.
Siri’s AI upgrades likely pushed to iOS 18.5
While we were also expecting a lot of Siri upgrades in iOS 18.4, Apple’s press release indicates those may be pushed into iOS 18.5 instead.
