Following yesterday’s developer updates, Apple has just released iOS 18.4 public beta 3. Here’s what to expect from the latest software version.
Beta 3 is light on changes, focuses on bug fixes
iOS 18.4 is the next big iPhone update coming from Apple. It’s expected to launch publicly to all users early next month.
Until then, the new update is available for beta users as an advance preview.
The latest beta 3 update brings a variety of bug fixes and performance enhancements to iPhone users, but it’s very light on new features.
Apple Wallet has a new menu option in iOS 18.4, and in beta 3 it’s been renamed to ‘Preauthorized Payments.’
This section of the app says:
Merchants you authorize to charge your Apple Pay payment method for subscriptions, auto reloads, billing charges, and more will appear here.
You can also toggle notifications on and off for upcoming transactions from the new screen’s sub-menu.
Mostly though, beta 3 offers the same new features and additions seen in the first couple iOS 18.4 betas.

There’s a lot included in iOS 18.4, so it perhaps shouldn’t be surprising that beta 3 is lacking further additions. Here’s hoping there’s still more to come in beta 4 though.
