The screen and camera details of the iPhone Fold have surfaced yet again, with a list of identical specifications making an earlier leaker’s claim seem slightly more likely to be true.
The iPhone Fold is expected to have two screens, with a smaller outer display for general use and a folding internal one that’s much larger. It now seems that the rumor mill has agreed on some of the essential specifications of those components.
In a Naver post, serial leaker “yeux1122” posted some details about the iPhone Fold’s screens. The key internal one is listed as measuring 7.76 inches diagonally, with a resolution of 2,713 by 1,920 and a theoretical pixel density of 428 pixels per inch.
The externally-facing display is said to be smaller, measuring 5.49 inches, and with a resolution of 2,088 by 1,422 pixels.
Yeux1122 also mentions the cameras used with each screen. The internal version will use a hidden under-display camera that will be similar to other foldable device screens, while the external will rely on a visible punch hole camera.
The leaker has an average track record when it comes to accuracy, with a few big misses in the past. For example, a claimed 2TB storage option for the iPhone 16 Pro failed to materialize, as well as claims Apple had abandoned 5G modem development.
Repeat leaks
One thing to bear in mind is that yeux1122 doesn’t say what their source for the leak is, other than seeing it on Weibo and not linking to it.
On April 14, Weibo-based leaker “Digital Chat Station” posted the same measurement, resolution, and camera details for the iPhone Fold. Again, they declined to offer a source for the information.
There is a good chance that yeux1122 used Digital Chat Station’s information and is simply repeating it for their own audience. There’s a small chance too that yeux1122 has a different source on Weibo they read and came to the same information independently, but that seems unlikely.
Either way, the information is still in the ballpark of claims from Ming-Chi Kuo, who said in March that there would be a 7.8-inch foldable inner screen, as well as a 5.5-inch outer screen.
A report from April 15 said Apple has decided on a display supplier for the iPhone Fold. After working with LG Display for years, it has decided to go with Samsung Display.
Expected sometime in late 2026 or early 2027, the iPhone Fold could be a very expensive proposition to consumers. Leaker “Instant Digital” posted on April 15 that the model could cost between $2,100 and $2,300.
