A reliable leaker has shared a new image that suggests the upcoming iPhone SE 4 will feature Apple’s Dynamic Island.
On Monday, Evan Blass told X followers that the iPad Air would get an M3 upgrade, rather than the alleged M4 upgrade others have suggested. A mere few hours later, Blass alleges that Apple’s next iPhone SE could ditch its notch for the Dynamic Island.
Blass shared the following image, which shows four upcoming Apple devices. Among them was an iPhone that can safely be assumed to be the iPhone SE, as the iPhone 17 likely won’t debut until the fall.
In the image, the iPhone in question appears to have a Dynamic Island rather than a notch. Seeing as the iPhone SE 4 is expected to ditch the home button in favor of an edge-to-edge display with FaceID, it’s plausible that it would feature the now-standard Dynamic Island.
Blass has a considerable history as a prominent leaker under his “evleaks” pseudonym. Though he has become less prominent, including an apparent retirement in 2014, he continues to be involved in the rumor and leaking scene.
What leaks Blass does discuss are relatively rare, but they’re still reasonably accurate, such as his pre-WWDC 2023 discussions that saw the introduction of the Apple Vision Pro.
Another recent leak from reliable leaker Sonny Dickson shows a dummy iPhone SE 4 with an edge-to-edge display. Other rumors have suggested the device will see a jump to a 48MP rear camera.
If it were to get the rumored A18 chip, the same flagship processor used in the iPhone 16, it would make it the lowest-priced iPhone with access to Apple Intelligence.
The iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to launch in Spring 2025. While it will feature a redesign and improved specs, Apple would likely keep the iPhone SE affordable, with a rumored starting price of $499.
