IQOO Z10 Review: Plenty of juice to last an entire day of heavy use – Technology News

For heavy mobile phone users, especially today’s youth who don’t just multitask but megatask, battery life can indeed be a big challenge. Long hours of usage involving frequent gaming, video streaming or browsing with bright screens puts a strain on the battery, leading to faster drain. In the last couple of years, though, we have seen significant progress when it comes to modern smartphone battery longevity. Of late, handset makers are equipping their devices with higher battery capacities to keep the heavy users satisfied. IQOO Z10 5G is one such device.

Our trial unit was the 12GB+256GB variant in Glacier Silver colour, a good-looking and lightweight phone that retails for an effective price of Rs 23,999. The design has a premium feel but what truly sets it apart is its slim 0.789 cm body that makes it quite handy and easy to use. The phone has a sturdy build and is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance.

The big battery inside (7300mAh) helps provide multi-day battery life. At my end, it lasted more than two days of moderate use. On the charging front, support for 90W FlashCharge technology means you can top off the phone’s battery quickly. It powers up from 1% to 50% in just 33 minutes.

The Z10 features a 6.77-inch Quad-curved AMOLED display, offering a bright and engrossing viewing experience with a local peak brightness of up to 5000 nits. With a 120Hz refresh rate, the display ensures fluid scrolling, faster touch response, and an overall smooth user experience. While browsing YouTube content and watching some movies and TV shows on Netflix, I was impressed by how the display handled colours; the accuracy is very good for a wide range of content.

The Z10 is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 mobile platform that ensures smooth multitasking, faster app launches, and responsive gaming experiences. It runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, offering a smooth, personalised, and intuitive user experience. The performance never lagged even while I was engaged in graphics-heavy games like Call of Duty Mobile, Alien Isolation, CarX Street etc. Take my word, it is perfect for gaming, entertainment, and everyday multitasking. It is apt for students and professionals who rely on speed and stability throughout the day.

When it comes to imaging capabilities, this iQOO device is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS). For selfie enthusiasts, it offers a 32MP front wide-angle camera that captures clear and vibrant self-portraits. Additionally, the phone supports 4K video recording on both the front and rear cameras, allowing users to shoot high-resolution videos with good clarity and detail.

Some of the AI-powered features include AI Erase that removes unwanted objects from photos, while AI Photo Enhance restores clarity in old or low-quality images. Features like AI Note Assist, Live Text, and Super Document simplify note-taking, text extraction, and document correction. Circle to Search with Google allows users to search anything on screen with a simple gesture.

In short, there’s sufficient power and practical value in the IQOO Z10 to attract heavy users.
