2021 has already seen the launch of Nokia’s new X series of handsets and it appears that July 27th is when we can expect the brand to unveil its next phone according to a post on its Twitter account. The image shown shows a camera housing that looks surprisingly like the one on the Nokia 5.4 (reviewed here) but whether it’s just a placeholder is unknown for the moment.
Nokia isn’t giving much away in its tweet but as you can see from the main image, it’s boasting that the new phone ‘you will never need a case again’, which means we are likely looking at a rugged handset being announced. We can probably expect a phone with a toughened exterior, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a big battery at the very least.
There isn’t too long to wait until the launch date so it’s likely that we’ll see a few leaks along the way to flesh out the details.
