There’s a major outage taking place right now, and it’s affecting everyone’s favorite gaming chat service, Discord.
In the Discord client, the company explained what’s happening right now in fairly vague terms:
We have identified the underlying issue with the API outage, but are dealing with a secondary issue on one of our database clusters. We have out entire on-call response team online and responding to the issue.
Discord has over 150 million active users, so this outage is sure to upset a lot of people. Of course, these things happen, and it appears that Discord is doing everything it can to get the service back online as quickly as possible. The company bringing in its “entire on-call response team” is reassuring for Discord users.
